Saltatur

Saltatur is a long-span table designed as a prefabricated composite structure. The table combines a compression-only concrete body, post-tensioning steel rods and an ultra-thin glass top. The glass top is shaped as a funicular three-hinged arch spanning 3.75 meters. The structural form was developed with three-dimensional graphic statics, so the concrete body is held in compression by tension ties at the top and bottom. The discrete spatial system reduces the volume of concrete and the carbon footprint while preserving the mass needed for structural performance.

Lido

The Lido folds into a small rectangular box. When folded, it serves as a storage box for small items. Likewise, if they completely unfold the side plates on both sides, it transforms into a large table, with the upper plate having width of 75 Cm. This table can be used as a dining table, especially in Korea and Japan where sitting on the floor while dining is a common culture.

The overall size is 1034 by 500 by 1916 millimetres. The panels are made of fine brushed metal. An operation panel with a digital display supports simple control.
