Anti-Loneliness

Anti-loneliness Ramen bowl addresses the social phenomena of addiction to the use of high-tech handheld devices such as smart phone. The uniquely sculptured form is the result of double layered ceramic for creating the concaved cavity for holding phone device. As the current society relying on the digital media, people try to connect online even during their mealtime for looking through the social medium with their smart phones. Anti-loneliness Ramen bowl is the hybrid-design of phone dock with noodle bowl for solving those issues.

Designed after the organic profile of dunes surrounding Natal, the armchair is made of certified wood, finished with freijó, a typically Brazilian wood which also casts colour variances of regional sands. Aside from being light, this sculptural piece allies technology and art.

Trifold

The Trifold's shape is informed by a combination of triangular surfaces and a unique folding sequence. It has a minimalist yet complex and sculptural design, from every view angle it reveals a unique composition. The design can be scaled to suit various purposes without compromising its structural integrity. The Trifold is a showcase of digital fabrication methods and the use of new manufacturing technologies such as robotics. The production process has been developed in collaboration with a robotic fabrication company specialising in folding metals with 6-axis robots.

Zeitgeist

The clock is reflected the zeitgeist, which is associated with smart, tech and durable materials. High-tech face of the product is represented by a semi torus carbon body and time display (light holes). Carbon replaces metal part, as a relic of the past and emphasizes the function part of the clock. The absence of central part shows that innovative LED indication replace classical clock mechanism. Soft backlight can be adjusted under their owner's favorite color and a light sensor will monitor the strength of illumination.
